If you are like most of us you are probably wondering, “Does this guy know more than me?” This guy says “Probably not!” Point of view is where I may differ: being able to connect the dots when it comes to understanding what’s happening in our society might be another strong suit: truly believing that the Declaration of Independence coupled with the U.S. Constitution and supported by Capitalism is the reason for the incredible propulsion of our nation to the top of the heap, might be another strong suit that I enjoy.
Whatever the case, before you jump to conclusions, please allow me to confess to the fact that my strong suit is experience, I am over seventy years of age, American, of African heritage, with no ax to grind. My agenda is simply to nurture a proven system of success as outlined by our Founding Fathers via the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States of America. My primary concern is that our people have lost our way, and we have lost our identity. How did it happen, why did it happen, and what can we do to turn it around? That’s what this work is about.
If you want to know my qualifications for expressing my ideas and expecting you to give my opinions serious consideration, the answer is tucked away at the end under, “Perceptions, thinking errors, and qualifications.”
I did that basically for two reasons; first, I want to get to the point quickly, in addition, I did it because what a person says is fact, fiction, or a combination of the two. However, what a person says is simply opinion, and opinions are neither right nor wrong, they are simply expressions of a person’s belief. That being said, it is important to note that what a person says and/or believes has no relevance unless he does something about it. That’s the reason for putting together this site. One more thing: regardless of what a person believes, results is what determines the validity of action.
I acknowledge that I totally understand the need to use a person’s time to the greatest advantage: I also understand and agree with the wisdom of seeking to find the qualification of an individual before “wasting” one’s time reading an opinion. On the other hand, it is often a worthy investment to question the validity of a person’s beliefs and ask objectively, “Are my beliefs rock solid, or are they flimsy as illustrated by the first little pig’s straw hut.” Whichever the case, I hope you will stay with me because I’ve got a mouthful and many readers agree, you will find it useful to share in the discourse.
Thanks for sharing your invaluable time with me!
